We are an organization established to protect Vanuatu's border, facilitate trade and collect revenue. This section includes all the services provided by DCIR.

Custom is also operational outside Customs Controlled Areas and during unsocial hours, attracting additional charges for the services delivered, such as:

One of the major functions of Customs is the facilitation of cargo clearance and collection of revenue on import duties, VAT and Excise tax at our borders and port of entries such as the International airports, wharfs and post offices.

Who We Are?

Customs and Inland Revenue, is a large and diverse department with over 100 employees spread across Vanuatu. With Office locations in Port Vila and Luganville and the provincial centers at Lenakel, Lakatoro, Saratamata and Sola.

What We Do?

To protect the community from potential risks arising from international trade and travel, while facilitating the legitimate movement of people and goods across the border, and collect legislated government revenue.
