There were over 26 participants from member Customs administration of the Oceania Region were invited as trainees to receive training from these Master Trainers.
The objective of the project is “to promote sustainable economic development through improved Customs Capacity”. The 3 years Master Training program was a Joint project funded by JICA and The World Customs Organization (WCO).
The closing ceremony and presentation of certificates took place at the Fiji Revenue and Customs Services (FRSC) in Nadi. The four Vanuatu Customs officials who are part of the programme were Nicholas Godden and Sisilia Asel Lui who have received their certificates on Customs Harmonized Classification (HS), Queni Kenneth and Kency Bulu who have received their certificates on Customs Valuation. The Officials have embarked on this training on September 2021 to 1st of February 2024.
They become experts on these specific customs procedures and are assets that Vanuatu Customs can utilise them nationally and regionally. Congratulations to the four officials who are now certified as Master Trainers
